Jon Shipley has over 15 years of experience in many facets of real estate and lending. Prior to Longhorn, Jon worked with a national private lender developing strategic relationships with third party real estate and lending affiliates.
Previously, he worked with a real estate auction company developing the residential buyer and seller platform for high volume and institutional partners. Jon also gained valuable experience leading business development and acquisition efforts for a mid-sized real estate hedge fund located in Austin, Texas.
He initially started his lending career in the residential wholesale lending space where he successfully developed sales teams in three different markets, resulting in record breaking production.
Jon is currently a member of PREIMA (Professional Real Estate Investors and Managers), AAPL (American Association of Private Lenders), and NAMB (National Association of Mortgage Professionals).
He received his BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He lives in Dallas with his wife Leslie and two sons, August and Declan.
